The Maida Vales »
Drawing influence as well as heritage from across Europe with band members deriving from as far afield as Milan and Sicily, Italy to St.Albans, England.
A truly refreshing approach sees the band avoid the usual suspect sounds that we've heard time and time again with eccentric tones and rocking numbers showing influence but not imitation of the Stones, Kinks, Ska Skanking Upsetters and the best side of Dandy Warhols.
Oliver Shaw »
London based solo artist who sings and writes his own original songs, music, and poems. Olly also plays guitar and bass.
influences range from cool 60's such as The Beatles, The Doors, The Velvet Underground, The Small Faces but also interestingly just as much from the likes of Peter Cook, Brian Jones, Spike Milligan, John Lennon. That said Olly ain't no mere revivalist with influences from all decades even up to present day.
Based in Hertfordshire, River Child is a solo singer-songwriter who specialises in classy, soulful indie/folk and Americana with an off kilter, rare and distinctive voice.
In the last year RiverChild has been hand selected to support The Miracle Legion as well as performing live on London Live as well as warm support from BBC Introducing, R2 Mag, For Folk’s Sake and Amazing Radio.
“There’s a great soulful feel to Riverchild’s
Baylen Leonard / Amazing Radio
"For someone so anti-mainstream,River Child sure knows how to teach the scene a thing or two by inhabiting its world from the point of radio-ready singles. On the flipside of things, though, he is purely and unabashedly folk to his very core."
