Legendary alternative club night, magazine and radio show
Ghum are an atmospheric dark pop four-piece based in London - Fusing post-punk and goth with a hint of grunge the band draw inspiration from love, loss and inner demons. Brought together by a mutual love of The Cure, Warpaint and PJ Harvey they played their first show in 2016. Ghum have since built up an impressive live reputation; supporting bands such as Dream Wife, L.A. Witch, The Underground Youth and many more since their debut.
The band released their debut self-titled EP in 2017 which combined haunting vocals reminiscent of PJ Harvey, smokey veil of haunting new wave guitars, driving bass lines and calculative drums. Ghum's hazy video for their track, ‘TV’, was premiered by DIY magazine earlier this year followed by shows across the UK and Europe.
Their new single, double A side "I'm the Storm"/"Undone" is released by Everything Sucks Records on 10 August, and was recorded by Mark Jasper at Sound Savers.
LEISURE TANK »
Leisure Tank is a new DIY indie rock power duo from London NW. Female singer/songwriter, guitarist K.C. and Budi on drums have left Berlin, Germany, to form this vibrant rock band.
Raw, minimalistic, analogue rock with unpredictable song structures and heavy, danceable grooves. K.C.’s voice, poetical lyrics and unique approach of playing the electric guitar have been compared to the early PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi and Leslie Feist.
Paired with Budis melodic drum techniques and his great feel for the dynamic of rhythm in songstructures Leisure Tank lead their music through a dry yet dramatic landscape that lures the listener with well known phrases and beats only to surprise with new edges and changes when least expected.
A powerful indie, post punk four-piece from East London fronted by Eva Soans - a force of nature in herself.
'Caught on Film' is the band's debut single recorded at Musicland Studios by Ian Flynn from Werkhouse. It captures the band's emotive lyrics, intricate guitar riffs that weave their way through the song, solid bass line and razor-sharp drumming.
