Boss Caine presents The Sundown Sessions:

York's best roots Promoter brings his reputation and wares to London Town

Showcasing the best in acoustic/roots/americana/folk/blues music every month.

Presented, curated and hosted by Daniel Lucas of Boss Caine.

Katie Spencer »
Sundown Sessions are VERY chuffed to have this fast rising folk starlet join us for her debut London show after witnessing her wow northern crowds over the last year or two.

Katie is a singer songwriter inspired by the people and her surroundings in the Yorkshire countryside. Enjoying music from a young age has developed her ever-evolving and infinite musical tastes and influences, including John Martyn and Led Zeppelin.
Katie writes refreshingly mature songs that quieten the room, as you accompany the characters on evocative and poignant journeys.

Katie is also in the process of creating her debut album alongside Brian Young, featuring Ted McKenna and Foss Paterson, with bass written by the one and only Danny Thompson no less!

Lorraine Lucas »
Another Scottish born artist, now based in Folkestone, Kent...
Lorraine performs both originals and covers which ooze the disarming, soulful classic country charm of the records she listened to growing up. A great story teller and an engaging performer.

Shaun O’Reilly: »
Shaun makes a welcome return to the Sundown Sessions after going down a storm last May.

Shaun O’Reilly has been gigging across the UK as one half of prog rock duo War Elephant for the best part of the last decade.
Spurned on by a desire to try something new, he’s recently branched out as a solo artist and has shifted his focus to more blues inspired, Acoustic folk music.

In a musical landscape littered with X-Factor wannabes and repetitive Garage Band drum loops, O'Reilly provides a raw alternative – music that can quietly devastate one moment and yet rock with the loudest the next.

His new EP , 'Nostalgia Is A Broken Record', is out now on iTunes and Spotify.

Quite possibly the hardest working man in UK Roots & Americana being a musician, songwriter, promoter and genuine Renaissance man.

Daniel Lucas hails from York and is pretty much the go-to-man 'Oop T'North' for Roots music in Yorkshire. It would be easier to say who this guy hasn't played with but the list includes such God-like luminaries as Tony Joe White, Hayes Carll, Shooter Jennings, Alabama 3 and literally hundreds more.

A gravel-voiced singer-songwriter and picaresque storyteller of real life labours with even taller tales. Imagine Alabama 3 with 2 OD'ed and then there was 1 on the mother of all comedowns!
