KING CHAMPION SOUNDS »
Anglo/Dutch band who were formed by Ajay Saggar in 2013 and who have made some of the best, most adventurous, and original records anywhere, as well as playing blazing live shows all around Europe. They released their fourth album, “For A Lark”, on Friday 9 November 2018, on Excelsior Recordings.

The live shows are a spectacular happening. Highly energetic, swinging, and able to turn any room into a dancehall.

Comedian Stewart Lee, had this to say to British national newspaper The Sunday Times:

“What if The Fall had garnished their rockabilly grooves with swing-era horns? What if Can played Ghanaian highlife? What if Morricone had scored spaghetti westerns in a Moroccan souk? King Champion Sounds recombine canonical influences in new contexts and bring forth one of the best live shows you are likely to witness ANYWHERE”.

(SUNDAY TIMES / Stewart Lee)

COWBOY FLYING SAUCER »
Formed as a result of a conversation about T shirts in a Walthamstow pub sometime in 2014, CFS have built cult status. Influenced by the likes of Can, The Fall, Sleaford Mods, Pere Ubu, Captain Beefheart, Happy Mondays, John Cooper Clarke and Spacemen 3, theirs is a distinct sound that encompasses psychedelia, techno, krautrock, ambient electronica, punk, post-punk, funk, dub, spoken word and disco. Drawing on these disparate styles and influences, CFS have improvised their way on BBC 6music, Resonance FM, and a list of podcasts, streams and FM broadcasts across the UK and Europe.
